I am against the consolidation of the thirty-six conservation authorities. I respectfully request that our conservation authorities remain exactly as they are to protect our water, water quality and regional environmental activities specific to each respective watershed and its boundary that bypasses municipal boundaries. The boundaries should be left exactly as they cutting through multiple municipal jurisdictions. The environment and our watersheds are larger than political jurisdictions. Our watersheds are not for sale. Governments come and go. Our watersheds are always there in deep time. The climate crisis will result in a water shortage. We need each individual watershed to have as much ability as possible to mitigate the specific needs to each watershed. Each one is different. Our water is at risk and conservation authorities have the specific knowledge and decades of monitoring to save our water, save us and save Ontario. I want all 36 watersheds to protect the interests of future generations and the health of the environment. Thank you.
