The proposed amalgamation of Ontario's conservation authorities will be harmful to the province in innumerable ways and needs to be rejected. Having reviewed the comments submitted by the Hamilton Conservation Authority, I wholly agree with them. People working together locally to steward the natural environment is a fundamental good that will not continue effectively if the proposal goes through.
