This is ridiculous. Amalgamation takes away the local connection that people have to the conservation areas. As a long time camper at a local conservation area I will seriously reconsider if this causes my fees to increase to a level comparing the park I’m at to one with many more amenities. My rates should not reflect what other parks have but what is available in the park where people are camping.
Also, the local conservation authority has the knowledge for their area and can assist with agriculture and planning issues in a way that those not connected to the area can’t. This government’s continual focus on centralized control is not needed.
