I think the proposed amalgamation of the Conservation Authorities in Ontario is wrong. At a time of increased pressure on natural resources, allowing the Conservation Authorities to continue as they are would be an excellent sign that the government is not just pro development and anti nature. As Canada’s most populous and concentrated province, anything done for nature would be perceived as balanced. Perhaps funds could be found by reducing the Toronto north mega highway to 2 lanes?
