I do not support the amalgamation of the Niagara Conservation Authority with the others named in the government’s proposal. Or with ANY other organization.
If amalgamation were to occur then projects would have to compete with those of the other conservation authorities. There is no guarantee possible that that Niagara would be able to achieve its priorities if it has to battle with other conservation authorities for the funds available.
Niagara has been doing just fine. We do not need the Province to meddle with what is a Niagara matter.
