My family and I strongly oppose amalgamation. Locally based decision-making is important to the Conservation. The reason for this amalgamation is not justified. HCA hosts wonderful events and takes good care of our conservation area and builds community. Having local authorities who truly care and know the area and its residents is good for the land and also a great support for residents in accessing the conservation area. The HCA should not be punished for doing such great work by dissolving the department when it has been such a support to the community, especially through Covid to the present.
