As community member who makes regular use of many of the beautiful areas under the management of the Hamilton Conservation Authority, I have grave concerns about the proposed amalgamation of multiple conservation authorities. This move will hinder the ability to conserve and preserve these valuable resources that are so important to our environment, particularly in light of climate change and the issues of overuse. It is even more important now, than ever that we have knowledgeable and well trained people to take care of these vital protected areas that provide such wonderful access to nature and learning in our community. I must express a strong opposition to this proposal!
