I have been a resident of Burlington, Ontario, since 2002.
I have experienced Halton Conservation Area and Hamilton Conservation Area extensively, and I volunteer at the Westfield Heritage Village presently.
In my opinion, the conservation areas are very different from each other; therefore should remain separate.
My business is buying and selling tree seeds; as a consequence, I am familiar with some of the local problems related to the conservation authority. We need to conserve our green space and urban forests from development for future generations. The best way to do this is to serve the local community and not make it a monopoly with amalgamation. In my experience thisleads to communication breakdowns, and often, the problems are not addressed.
