Uptown Oakville does not have the infrastructure to withstand the type of development proposed. The traffic at Cornwall and Trafalgar is already at capacity. With this being said no one is living in tiny condos in Toronto so why would anyone purchase small condos so far out from the city. The idea is to have living space right beside transport but there is no reason people have to live on top of the GO train - there are plenty of people who have to bus to get to the train. Also - no one will come to downtown Oakville and enjoy the lake, parks and shops -it will be impossible to even get there with the traffic on Trafalgar.

Its time we focus on areas farther out from Toronto and no try to make small areas crazy dense to make developers happy. It is not about developers it's about the people who live and love Oakville.

We simply can not support this type of building proposed in Uptown - there are too many other alternative options that simply make sense. This is about money and greed and it would destroy a lovely town.
