I have watched the development in Liberty village. The disgusting mini units that young people are expected to live in. I watched my daughter struggle to break free of that overcrowded community and find a more humane manageable community to raise her family. I do not want this for Oakville. The infra structure cannot support the MZO’s development plans. The only one who wins here are Ford’s buddy developers. Oakville has an effective plan that is community supported and sensitive to the needs of this community. In case you haven’t noticed the condo market has collapsed. NO ONE wants to live in these Micro units. They are neither nurturing for families or communities. Take your heads out of the sand and recognise good community planning. The panic over housing will not be solved in this manner. It only creates more infrastructure issues and social issues the government is unable to support. The only one who wins here are developers. It is time to support rational, humane development. This is not a numbers game. This is about people.
