As a resident of Oakville for 37 years, I am totally against this TOC proposal and these 4 Minister's zoning orders. These 11 buildings up to 56 stories high on an area not much greater than Rodgers Center, will become the highest density of people per hectare in the world - surpassing any area in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Mumbai! Completely ludicrous. The developer is a personal friend of Doug Ford (went to his daughter's wedding) so it looks a lot like the suspicious Hwy 413 controversy. Because this 11-building unreasonable proposal has gone on so long, despite all the studies/protest from Oakville residents over the last year, one has to believe some TOC staff have also been compromised and paid off. If this goes through, I will personally ask Toronto Star to investigate your ministry staff. Town of Oakville has an approved OPA-70 Mid town Oakville plan awaiting minister approval, to put shovels in the ground ASAP, spread out the development over 3 areas of midtown to increase housing fast, add proper schools, amenities, infrastructure while keeping traffic reasonable. If this TOC proposal goes through as stated there will be huge automobile pile-ups on the QEW with so many new people exiting the QEW at Trafalgar every day. You can't just cram 14,000 new residents in such a small 5-hectare site. The Ministry will be liable for these accidents. Please do the right thing and make this current TOC adhere to the official Town of Oakville OPA-70 plan for midtown growth. Thank you
