I was on a Searchmont…

I was on a Searchmont committee a few years ago and an owner of the ski hill at the time showed us a plan drawing of their proposed subdivision expansion at the hill. The sewage disposal ambition is likely motivated in part by planned expansion to the facility. They minimize the usage forecast, manipulate the water testing to their convenience with onboard consultants and surely plan to dispose of increased major wastes.

I'm sure they need a health permit requirement for an application to expand. Here they go.

My feeling is they are rich business people manipulating with lots of backing money to use and take advantage of what we call home. This sickens me, my wife was baptized in the G. River this summer. My disgust at the thought of people using the river, living on the river and even being baptized in it!, while assuming that there is no human waste being pumped in up stream.

In addition to the waste, what about all the phosphate filled products and toxins that everybody just dumps down the sink or toilet, aside from sewage. Pre treatment doesn't remove them all. In addition is the impact on the environment and wildlife.

This is a mind blowing insult and desecration to my community. This is very wrong, how have they managed their waste for many years? And all of a sudden they need a huge capacity increase, at the cost of our local communities? Really... to start with why?

The ski hill benefits our community very little, a few employees and maybe the odd bead and breakfast. To be propositioned that there is economic benefit sounds good on paper to people out of touch but it is another manipulation of information in their campaign. Its all about money and looking the other way as to how it impacts the community. At the end of the day they don't live here and take their money with them. They think they can just buy their way, without conscience, into more profits. I'm utterly offended and degusted.
