I am opposed to this development for many reasons.
This will ruin Oakville's landscape and make it more like Toronto...a huge metropolis.
Oakville is NOT a huge city and should not be forced to grow without considering the comments from its people.
There will be even more gridlock along Trafalgar Road than there already is.
Recent developments along highway 5 have contributed to this current gridlock.
Erecting these towers to encourage commuters take the Go Train will not work.
People will always continue to drive and want to drive for convenience.
These proposed towers do not fit into the current Oakville plans for the area and will block the sun from the old established communities to the south. There will be less green space which is vital for a healthy community.
In the current economic climate, I don't think these proposed buildings will sell.
Oakville's infrastructure will be strained...police, fire, energy, water.
There is a housing crisis and I doubt whether these new developments will be affordable to the average and low income person.
More people moving to these proposed towers may bring more crime.
