I strongly oppose the proposed Midtown development in Oakville because it does not align with the character, infrastructure capacity, or long-term vision of our community. While growth is important, this project introduces excessive density that will strain local roads, schools, and public services, creating congestion and reducing quality of life for current residents.
I did not vote leaders into the region or the province to destroy Oakville’s livability and overload its infrastructure. Oakville has always been valued for its balance of green space, livability, and thoughtful planning. This development risks undermining those principles.
I urge decision-makers to prioritize sustainable, community-focused growth that respects the town’s unique identity rather than fast-tracking high-density projects that benefit developers at the expense of residents.
