Please do not privatize our water, as an accountant for the city of mississauga (lower tier peel region) the notion of moving water supply to a partnership where profit is priortized is proven to be a very risky, dangerous, inequitable manner of providing public service. Rates will increase, standards will decrease and the priorities of the rich shareholders will overtake the common people. This is something we see in the news, in the movies, and unfortunately this is the Ford government lining their pockets once again with developers. Too many politicians are giving in to our developers and look at the mess our development is in. We need to dial back to war time measures, exercise conservative measures and stop putting money in the pockets of the rich.
