To Whom It May Concern:

Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback on ERO posting 026-0260. Please see attached an electronic submission from the City of Burlington. Below are the key points extracted from the submission, c/o of City's Community Planning Department.

The City of Burlington has provided detailed comments through its submissions on ERO postings 026-0229 and 026-0230. Those submissions include more comprehensive analysis of planning, implementation, and transition considerations. This submission provides supplementary comments on high-level alignment and implementation matters specific to ERO 026-0260, within the City of Burlington.

The City supports efforts to modernize and streamline legacy planning frameworks, including the transition away from the Parkway Belt West Plan (PBWP) and its associated Minister’s Zoning Orders (MZOs). The proposed amendment appropriately reflects this transition by aligning regulatory authority with the applicable agency following PBWP/MZO revocation.

The City emphasizes the importance of coordinated implementation across all related ERO postings, including clear transition policies, mapping alignment, and direct communication with municipalities and other interest holders.

In light of the shift in approval authority and policy framework, the City also suggests that the Province provide direct notification to the affected landowners within this limited geographic area.

Given the short period for consultation, the attached comments have not been approved by City Council. This submission will be shared through an upcoming Council Information Package. Should Council determine any additional comments or refinements are required, the Ministry will be advised at the earliest opportunity.

In the interim, we look forward to continued collaboration on Bill 98, and please feel free to contact us should there be any follow-up questions or information required.

Regards,
