By removing water and sanitation services from local control, WCCs stop being accountable to the people who depend on them for water. This looks like an attempt to financialize water so WWC owners can take a necessary survival resource as a profit extraction mechanism rather than a social good provider.
Water is a crucial resource that should be managed in a way that is accountable to the people.
