Out family owns a beautiful property on the Niagara Escarpment in Milton. It is large at 71.5 acres. Unfortunately, under the rules we can only have one single dwelling. My brother and I both want to build on this 120 year old family farm land. As the rules are written we can not. We would love to keep this in the family however as the rules are written we can not. It’s not the developers catering to the super rich of their own, it’s the government. These rules on all levels of the municipal and provincial government do not allow for families to live modestly and with in their own comfortable means.
