The Township of Brock would like to voice their major concern in our capacity to meet the ne planning requirements without additional ongoing financial support. The regulation is likely to require a significant update of our current asset management plan to include new, current and future service level analysis and planning for the performance of their assets, greenhouse gas mitigation effort, electricity costs, non infrastructure solutions and approval of plans by a licensed engineer prior to submission to Council. Our staff is currently strapped doing the day to day activities of each of their departments wit little or no additional time to work spend on Asset Management.
We are a small municipality with a population of 11,500 and this regulation seems to place an undue amount of additional work especially developing our own level of service policy for each asset class.
