My visions for the future are very vivid, and finding ways to improve my community everyday is something I strive to accomplish more and more each day. The Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe captures many different perspectives but there are a few amendments that I do not solely agree with. The main amendment I do not agree with is 2.2.3.8 ((of 2017 document) IS DELETED. It says for settlement areas that receive their water from or discharge their sewage to inland, lakes, rivers, or groundwater, a completed environmental assessment for new or expanded services has identified how expanded water and wastewater treatment capacity would be addressed in a manner that is fiscally and environmentally sustainable;).

I do not agree with this being deleted as making changes are very important aspects when it comes to dealing with a bigger issue such as growth for the future. The community should know what changes are taking place, and they have the right to know what actions are being taken

This Amendment prohibits the public from seeing “behind the scenes”, and does not let the community know what precautions they should take moving forward. Communities are concerned about their health and wellbeing- but removing this type of information can cause doubt or insecurities regarding a decision.
