I live in the Yonge-Eglinton community and I am writing to implore you to vote in favour of Planning and Growth Management Committee's unanimous recommendation to adopt Option #3 20 and 15 storeys As of the present time, the new constructions are overpowering the neighbourhood in relation to human scale. The sense of community is disappearing. The amount of sunlight is being reduced due to the density and height of new constructions not to mention the reduction of green spaces. Another extremely important issue is traffic; when i leave home in the morning it takes me five minutes sitting in the car to get to the corner which is half a block. Combining pedestrian traffic and vehicles the congestion is already unbelievable. Why overcrowd one part of the city when there are still so many areas in the GTA where new development could happen in a less aggressive and more natural way.
