The current level and pace of development in the Yonge/Eglinton area is unwise and fails to properly reflect the need for balanced growth in a manner that respects the needs and wishes of existing residents.not to mention the importance of recognizing the need for upgrades to infrastructure, availability of parks and other community assets. The haphazard and indiscriminate development must stop. There needs to be strict control over the number of developments, the height of those developments, the timing of developments and the incredibly inconvenience created by developers and contractors who show no concerns for the disruption that is imposed on residents. A number of people have taken the decision to leave the area on the grounds that the developers have been favoured over the residents. Is it the job of city planners to encourage people to leave? I don't think so. The time to act is NOW!!
