I am writing to support provincial approval of OPA 406. This secondary plan --long overdue-- will go a long way towards making downtown Toronto a more people-friendly place, one that will attract business and residents and add to the prosperity of Ontario. Making downtown Toronto a people-friendly place will make future development downtown more attractive, boosting the market for downtown office development and condominiums. It is critically important that, at long last, Toronto has a planning framework that will create more parkland, contribute to preserving Toronto's cultural heritage and cultural advantages, and i doing so buttress the health of retail business in Toronto's Central Area.
