I believe it is important that we keep heritage buildings and streets, to remind us about the history of Toronto and how we have grown. We need spaces to reflect, and connect with our environment. We should not have high glass towers built to the sidewalk. Increase set-backs, have room for trees and benches, so that Toronto can be a livable environment for those who choose to live in the core. There will be more families downtown. Make it a place where our children grow up in a pleasant, varied environment. This will help create happier better citizens. Europeans have lived in apartments in cities for years, but there is space, parks, variety, recreational options. Developers building only offices, and tiny apartments, is not the solution for a vibrant, caring city. As a senior citizen, I live downtown where everything is accessible. We just need more pace and variety in our city.
