I strongly support this proposal, and believe that the provincial government should respect the will of Toronto and Torontonians in managing their own affairs. I believe there should be great focus on walkability downtown as well as commuting by bike or transit. Downtown should support commuting by bus and other means rather than cars. This would require access to space for public transit and transit users and less focus on parking lots. It is understood that to ensure all developments contribute to the creation of liveable and complete communities, there must be a sense of community through its means of circulation (walkability, transit, green spaces, etc.). I also support the commitment to introducing low-carbon and resilient infrastructure and buildings. This is essential for the sustainable growth of the city and would bring positive attention to its new infrastructure at a global and local scale.
