My comment is simple - amending the act under the guise of increasing efficiency, is shameful and wrong. The act has already been stipped over the years and now you are essentially gutting it. Our natural ecosystems are collapsing, and for the government to choose profit over protecting these fragile environments and species, allowing payment in lieu of protection, is morally corrupt. I adamantly oppose the amendments to this act.
