I oppose the proposed changes to Ontario's Endangered Species Act. Specifically, I am vehemently against the following:
- Allowing developers to pay fee to break the law
- No longer protecting species common outside of Ontario
- Using political power (i.e., bullying) to override scientific decisions
These changes would make the Endangered Species Act utterly useless. Let's get back to the principles of smart growth and innovation when it comes to development.
