I do not believe these changes are in the best interest of the species at risk. the system needs to be enhanced to ensure these species and others are protected against business interests that would put further species at risk. an example of this is thundering waters in niagara falls. business interest are taking advantage of the area and the species there need to be protected. if the government is truly interested in these creatures they would make it more difficult to get access to areas in need of protection. obviously that isn't going to happen with these changes
