This area, as you know, is a unique area in an otherwise, fairly accessible region, Northwestern Ontario. The fact that it contains such successfull naturally reproducing lakes should be enough to restrict activities that would lead to the destruction or jeopardize the future of these lakes. As we know, once any type of roads are constructed, certain determined, self serving individuals, will use this to develop their own access points to the very lakes you state you want to protect. The quoted proximity limits are not nearly enough to restrict this. I am only in support of the highest level of protection against development in this area. I have only recently learned of this area and know of no others like it. Please do not allow any type of road development anywhere in this unique region. It would be akin to allowing development within such unique and beautiful areas as Quetico Park or Woodland Caribou.
