I strongly agree with the proposed changes as they provide a more balanced approach to dealing with species in Ontario. The research and funding for specific species will provided a greater ecological investment over replacement. As stated this could mean the offsetting costs could fund disease research, or possibly used to acquire lands of special ecological function.
