As noted in this EBR posting, Dufferin Aggregates has also made application for a Region of Halton
Official Plan Amendment (ROPA) to permit the proposed expansion. The Region has deemed the
application complete pursuant to the Planning Act and has commenced circulation of the application.
Dufferin Aggregates is engaged with a Joint Agency Review Team (JART) involving the NEC, Region of
Halton, Town of Halton Hills, Provincial Ministries (MNR, MOE, MMAH, etc.) and two Conservation
Authorities, to examine technical studies in support of concurrent planning applications. Until
both the JART process and the Region of Halton Official Plan Amendment process are completed,
Halton Region planning staff will not be in a position to comment on the requested NEPA and
Development Permit application.
