I do not support this proposal. I am a cottage rental resort owner and full time resident in North Eastern Ontario. Our customers regularly hike, canoe and camp in the interior and we personally hike with our dogs on many trails, so encouraging bears to come ever closer to unnatural human contact is, in my opinion, misguided. The economic benefits do not outweigh the heightened risks of unintended bear/ human contact. Let hunters hunt in bear territory, not human territory close to trails and roads.
