Hello Minister Yakabuski, I’d like to thank you for taking the time to review the minimum distance requirement for bait placement of bait from the right of way and trails for black bear hunting. The preposed 200m distance was ridiculous, very unsafe and going to put many bear outfitters out of business! The new 30m requirement is much more realistic and safe for the public, client and outfitter. You have made the right decision and have made a very important step in the right direction with getting the Ontario black bear hunt back on track! I would personally like to thank you along with the many bear outfitters and hunters in this province and south of the border!!!! Thank you!
