i own a category 3 heritage designated property in heritage overlay area in Ottawa.
When i applied for heritage grant for multiple exterior attributes. The city rejected them as none of them were heritage enough. The house has vinyl siding through out. Nothing looks heritage about it except roof slope.
Yet in zoning i can not add a third story as it is against heritage zoning bylaw. So unfair regulation. City staff always never answer my question how to apply to delist my property from heritage register....
next thing i would do is move to usa which is better open for business!.. can not die waiting for ontario to change.
