A. Minor amendment provisions
We support the proposed changes to section 51. Streamlining the process would allow municipalities to respond to specific local needs and ensure efficient and transparent program delivery.
There are opportunities to improve the minor amendment provisions to include situations where a production well is changed to a monitoring well.
B. Continuous improvement: hydrocarbon pipelines
We support the inclusion of pipelines as a prescribed drinking water threat. To ensure consistency with fuel storage threat, above ground hydrocarbon pipelines should be a significant threat where the vulnerability score is 10.
