RE: EBR# 013-2055. CropLife Canada Comments process.
CropLife Canada acknowledges the role that OPAC plays in the regulation and classification of pesticides in Ontario. Many of CropLife Canada’s members are required to submit applications for classification of pesticides to OPAC. We submit that transitioning the OPAC application process from the current cumbersome paper-based system to online service delivery will result in greater efficiencies and transparency, thus enabling Ontario farmers to gain timely access to pest control tools that may already be available to their counterparts across the rest of Canada and in the United States.
In closing, we would like to reiterate our thanks for the opportunity to provide input into this proposal. CropLife Canada and its member companies would be pleased to contribute to this ongoing dialogue and look forward to working with the Government of Ontario to realize its vision for modern, efficient and transparent program delivery.
Sincerely,
