I oppose this action. It is not justified to take millions of liters of drinking water to clean
gravel for industrial purposes. The ministry of the Environment and Climate Change should be
thinking of how this decision will affect seven generations to come. If passed, the decision will
set a precedent that development is more important than conserving clean drinking water. At this
time we do not understand how this decision will affect the water source in 10 years. There has
been no consultation with Anishinaabe or Haudenosaunee peoples, whos traditional territory the well
and pond are on. It is the crown responsibility to consult Indigenous peoples on decisions like
these ones. If this decision is passed, I guarantee water protectors from across North America will
make their way to the area of question and stop this action.
