I am gravely concerned about…

I am gravely concerned about Bill 108 and the proposed changes in particular to the development charges act. Crippling municipalities capacity to pay for growth in the provision of critical services (NOT SOFT) including parks, emergency services, recreation facilities, libraries and child care etc..make cities livable. Noone wants to live in cities or towns with buldings, strip malls and roads...what kind of legacy does this provincial governament want to leave?! The other changes including heritage and endangered species are regressive in nature and risk eliminating vital heritage assets that future generations will be robbed of and people actually enjoy; killing animals at a time when our environment is under attack-not helped by this government's regressive climate policies and won't guarantee anything you want around affordable housing.
ALL that will happen is developers have more profits and more say.
That is totally unacceptable.
This legislation is ill conceived-dangerous and will cost you votes and our cities and towns livability.
You need to consult before you legislate.
Walk this back and go back to the drawing board.
