I reject Bill 108. This is a considerable step backwards with so many inclusions of so many amendments to Ontario's Endangered Species Act in Bill 108. The Progressive Conservative Party in ON under the leadership of Doug Ford with the "More Homes, More Choice Act" includes sweeping changes to the Endangered Species Act.
I reject this Bill on the grounds the ON PC government is handing over the planning process to the development industry.
This does nothing to make life more affordable for residents. This Bill 108 will cause people to pay more for parks and services and infrastructure while developers will pay less.
There is a global assessment that was released in May backed by the United Nations that shows the Earth is experiencing an unprecedented extinction crisis.
This is NOT a government for the people.
