This proposal is ridiculous. I have already been almost shot by bear hunters while walking on maintained trails. I have encountered bears on public trails that are there only because someone is baiting them. With the spring bear hunt just over I am now in the position of cleaning up rotting food in grain sacks, shedded garbage bags, broken pails and other garbage left behind by the bear hunter. How do I document this? I will take my camera out and photograph the mess that was left and submit another comment. Bear baiting as a legal act is fundamentally flawed. Moving bait stations to within 30 metres of public spaces is insane for all kinds of safety reasons.
