This proposed change is not respectful to many who spend time in forests. To allow for bear hunting within such short distance from public trails is dangerous for all others using these trails for recreational purposes. High powered rifles can be dangerous within a 4 km range of where they are used. Why would you invite hunters to risk putting other hikers in such danger? Hunting needs to happen in places other than where families might be spending recreational time, unaware of hidden dangers in close proximity.
