Recent exploration has uncovered important rocks and mineralization associated with the structure that hosts the huge Sudbury ore deposits. These types of deposits are extremely economically important to ALL citizens of the Sudbury region and the people of Ontario as well
I am in full support of the Flag Resources (1985) Limited mineral exploration permit in Mackelcan Township. It is important that this permit is granted without any delays. Also, the permit must not have any unreasonable terms or conditions attached.
Prospecting and exploration must be allowed to continue on existing mining claims and leases in Forest Reserves provided the obligations of the Mining Act are met.
