Although I understand that infill is a concern as more people move into the GTA, I fear that the environment will loose on this proposal. I live in Flamborough near Carlisle where we successfully (so far) fought a new water tower and a quarry. the carlisle community did tell the government that there's not enough water, after endless discussions, meetings, money wasted on consultants and a test drill, the government noticed there's not enough water. surprise! the quarry would have hurt the water table substantially also, not to mention nestle that has a PTTW for thousands of liters of water on the same aquifer. we already had to swallow the cost of drilling a deeper well with worse water because of the dragon's fire golf course on our road. the area's government has proven to be bad at planning thus far with permitting many new homes to be build without having any infrastructure in place and now traffic all around here is a nightmare, resurfacing of our road was done wrong, making a road with posted 60 but many drive 80-120 on a much narrower road, no sidewalks etc. and thus our children are not able to walk or bike anywhere because it's too dangerous, and you are proposing to bring even more people and with that, cars into the area if more infill will be possible in the near future. i suggest you fix the problems you already created first before adding even more.
