In my words,,,,The proposed PPS is not in line with the science based requirements and strategies to protect both the environmentally and economically sustainable values of the people and places in Ontario.
These draft policies completely ignore the fundamental basic human rights of access to local food sources, clean water, and sustainable working and living conditions. These policies will contribute to land, water, human health, and wildlife degradation. They will force undue pressure and responsibilities upon rural and rurban municipalities to operate (manage) natural heritage systems against unsustainable community growth patterns. This current government cannot kick the can towards vulnerable sectors of our environment without extreme consequences and long term civil unrest.

I am absolutely clear on the facts and the science of environmental and economic sustainability and I can tell you for certain this Policy Statement is, with out a doubt, reckless, irresponsible, destructive and completely unmanageable. You have but one chance in this cycle to do things right, and this Policy Statement is sub-standard and demonstrates a lack of talent and ingenuity required to change the system in a meaningful way.

Please look globally as to why and where investors want to plant their cashes and take a good look at our aging population in Ontario. A pause in growth is needed in order to best position our province for the unknown impacts climate change and the impending global economic crisis.

Your excuses for needing population growth outside of the GTHA in order to survive economically as a province is, quite frankly, insane.

The needs of the rest of the world to migrate to Canada does not mean we have to be "Open for Business" and they are not an excuse to further destroy what we do have in abundance.

We quite simply can just say "Not open for business" because we have the science to prove that natural resource management is the new global objective.
