I believe this is being pushed by developers and their greed. That being said once you allow them to make changes for their benefit it will only hurt our industry not make it better. I see more opportunity for corruption when you start allowing the private sector (Engineers) to review their own drawings for Building Permit and then supposedly perform their own on site inspections in a reasonable amount of time. I see a lot more Elliot Lake incidents in the future if this is allowed.
