The very first and most important thing that folks in Ontario need from their elected public servants is truth and factual information. Statements recently made in support of Section 9 of Bill 132 are yet another example of exactly the opposite! How does a DAILY fine of $100,000 compare with a SINGLE CONTRAVENTION fine of $200,000? It most surely does only one thing to polluters! And that will be to encourage contraventions of the law! Yet another instance where our current government has put the wishes and needs of big businesses and companies ahead of doing what is RIGHT for our environment!
