I completely support extending the moratorium on new permits for water bottling, and I appreciate the government's responsiveness to significant and important community concern on this issue.
I live in Guelph, and we rely on groundwater. I hope this extension is a step towards the government making the choice to protect drinking water for Ontarians by phasing out permits for bottled water altogether. I do not want to see Nestle or other private corporations profiting from the sale of our water, a public collective resource that we have a right to access and a responsibility to protect. Thank you.
