I am pleased and relieved…

I am pleased and relieved that the current moratorium on water bottling permits has been extended.
I hope that the next stage will be to ban such permits entirely. With climate change, pollution, and overuse we are not assured of an adequate supply of clean water in the future. If aquifers are drained faster than they can refill, which is happening, whole cities, such as Guelph, could be faced with a water crisis. Nor is it permissible to put water in plastic bottles in order to make a huge profit.
Water should come out of a tap, and should be available to the public at no charge.

Any government which allows appropriation of water for profit making purposes is betraying those who voted for it and threatening our future survival.
