I am in strong support of extending the current moratorium on groundwater taking. We absolutely MUST protect and prioritize Ontario’s groundwater for our communities, especially in the face of the climate crisis we are now in.
EVERY COMMUNITY MUST HAVE INPUT and HAVE CONTROL over what happens to its water. Allowing a multinational corporation to put communities and ecosystems at risk is NOT ACCEPTABLE, NO MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY THEY ARE PAYING!
Water is life and without it we die. It's really that simple. So there's the choice..MONEY OR LIFE.
Our provincial government is here to serve the people of the province and to protect the land and waters, NOT TO SELL OUR RIGHTS TO WATER.
