I’m a bit confused as to to why there isn’t a health or food security set of considerations here, or thought placed towards the long term maintenance of public order. It is projected that there will be at least tens of millions, up to 1.5 billion climate refugees worldwide over the next 30 years. Many will need to come here, and they’ll need water. Water isn’t only environment, or economics. Pinch yourself. Most of that is water. Water is us. It’s vital and we must protect it.
